Thank you — for visiting the website of the First Christian Church in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania.
We are a friendly congregation of Christian believers with a mission of spreading God's word and to carry out the great commission of our Lord.
We pray that in our efforts to do this we will show others the love of God, in the person of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Invitation — We invite and encourage you to attend our Sunday worship service and Sunday School, and our Thursday night Bible Study and fellowship. Please come and be uplifted by praising our God in song, prayer, and an inspiring lesson from God's Word. Our Sunday morning Bible classes are available for all ages, as well as a staffed nursery.
Belonging — to a church family goes way beyond sharing a pew once a week. It means sharing lives of: laughter, tears, dreams, faith and hopes; come see what's going on at our Church!
Learn More About Us — It is good to have you join us in our worship services and we want to make you feel comfortable and at home.
We attempt to be true to the message contained throughout Scripture. Even as Peter preached the event of Christ being crucified and raised from the dead, so do we (Acts 2:22-36).
In the same manner, when men are "pricked in their heart and conscience" and ask what they must do to receive salvation, we give the very answer Peter gave to the exact question at Pentecost; "Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for forgiveness of your sins.
And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit" (Acts 2:37-38).
